In 2013, BMI forecasts passenger car sales to decrease 0.9%. We believe that private consumption willremain subdued over the year as the government perseveres with austerity measures. This is a continuationof the trend seen in 2012 when passenger car sales in the Czech Republic increased just 0.4%, to 174,009units. Throughout the year, BMI cautioned that the country''s weak macro outlook would weigh onpassenger car sales after a strong start earlier in the year.This in turn impacted production.
